My only sequencer is the on-board one in the ESQ-1, which I use as the controller for the rest of my modules. I like using 1985 vintage, minimal equipment, because the music itself is minimal in design.
Sometimes a song is created from improvising on the keyboard, sometimes from a few notes I've whistled or hummed earlier.
Percussion often plays a big part, with a simple repeating melody.
I like experimenting with 2 or even 3 layered bass tracks, fine-tuning
patches, and tweaking stuff.
In addition, I'm teaching myself how to upload sequences with the melody track removed, which I will play live, in full fursuit.
Since 1985, I've produced 2 vinyls, 5 cassettes, and 3 CDs. I've received radio airplay in New Jersey, Connecticut, Montana, Brazil, and Romania. In the early '90s I pioneered various long-distance collaboration techniques. I've had articles written about my music and techniques in publications as varied as High Performance Review and a daily Turkish newspaper. |
